The cruel tempest that has raged over the Eastern United States has ended. Many lives have been lost and the work on many millions has been ruined. We can understand the cause of the storm – a convergence of a hurricane called Sandy with high tides and a new moon and the added intensity of cold weather fronts, but we do not understand why, in 2012, the worse storm that we have known has struck this part of the world. We do not fully know the reasons behind the creation of this extreme weather event. Continue reading
