We can know the immediate cause of the deaths of nearly 300 Russians who were blown up when returning from holiday in Egypt, or the immediate cause of the 126 people who were murdered in Paris, but not the root causes of these events which are shrouded in the thick fog of history and as such open to misinterpretation or complete misunderstanding. Being Force Fed to Death

British Values

The Government’s master plan to combat the recruitment of terrorists in these islands is to stress “British Values”, by which they mean tolerance, democracy and other desirable ways of thinking and behaving. Of course these are not British values. Britain has no monopoly of these qualities although they do exist to some extent in the majority of the inhabitants of modern Britain but did not so exist in the not so recent past of Britain. Canada’s C-51 Bill

If you discount acts against indigenous peoples, there has been no act of terrorism in Canada for more than ten years. Of course, there are and will always been wicked people who commit crimes, but for many years Canada has avoided most of the criminal terrorism that has scarred the Middle East and affected Europe. This probably means that the Canadian law enforcement and terrorism prevention forces are robust and doing a decent job. Continue reading
