Fracking and Earthquakes

In Weld County, Colorado, fracking at one well has been stopped by the authorities for 20 days, in order to determine whether the fracking is associated with an earthquake of 2.6 magnitude and an earlier earthquake of 3.4 magnitude. Continue reading

Earthquakes in USA May Be Due to Fracking Techniques

Northern Texas in the past three or four weeks has experienced an intense series of earthquakes. Historically this part of America has had only two earthquakes between 1970 and 2007, but in 2008 a series of minor earthquakes were recorded and in the last few days two earthquakes, each measuring 3.6 and 2.8 on the Richter scale happened. Giving God a Shove

An earthquake has added to the misery of the people of the Philippines. Changing our environment through crisis

There have been two new crises in the world that have occurred in the past few weeks. One crisis is the devastation of the nuclear power facility in Fukushima in Japan, which was caused by building the nuclear power plant close to the sea in region where earthquakes happen routinely, without sufficient protection for the plant from damage by earthquake and tsunami. The second crisis is taking place in Libya, where a civil war, with one side backed by most nations, is happening, with all the loss of life, bombing, explosions and waste that happens in war.
