…And the Whole World Goes Blind

There has been so much killing, caused as a punishment for other killing, there have been so many murders. that the cause of all these deaths is now hard to discern. We can know the immediate cause of the deaths of nearly 300 Russians who were blown up when returning from holiday in Egypt, or the immediate cause of the 126 people who were murdered in Paris, but not the root causes of these events which are shrouded in the thick fog of history and as such open to misinterpretation or complete misunderstanding.

Our leaders respond to these events by increasing “security” which involves depriving us of some of our liberty, and by leashing bombs on those they fancy might have had an involvement in terrorism. Innocent casualties are merely  a by product of perceived righteous killings, and that applies not only to terrorists but also to governments.

As individuals we can sing the French National Anthem to show our defiance; odd that no one in Britain thought of singing the Russian National Anthem but the further from our shores these killings occur the less important we find them.

In case you want to show solidarity with Russia you can sing these words

Россия – священная наша держава,
Россия – любимая наша страна.
Могучая воля, великая слава –
Твоё достоянье на все времена!

and you can slightly re-arrange the tricolor on your facebook photo.

  1. Very touching indeed Rob, and wholly un-needed deaths of beautiful people, but here is a short video of how it normally happens.

  2. Another film worth watching of how we got to where we are today.
