Old Friends

Old friends are good friends; they have acquired the patina of virtue by our long association with them. Mutual needs, bolstered by shared experiences and common feelings, make old friends the best friends.

As years pass we remember them with more affection and greater appreciation than ever. Times change and change us with them, or is it times change and we change with them? But friends remain, even those long died, as friends who never change their righteous friendship.
