I have written much about war and conflict recently. I know that war and conflict is a result of human greed. I wonder whether there is another separate reason for war, one which is unconnected to human desire.
Every modern war brings many deaths; each death means fewer people on the planet, fewer people to spoil it. Each explosion brings more aerosols into the atmosphere, to weaken the heat reach the plant, to dim it and to slow down the rate of climate change.
Perhaps nature has decided that humanity should be controlled and its influence curtailed; this is one way of doing it.
Thus war is nature’s punishment by way of retribution and more importantly by way of reform.
