Is someone up there trying to tell us something?

Every month the British weather records complied by the Met Office are broken. In June 2012 the wettest June records was broken for eh United Kingdom as a whole. Taking all the recorded readings and averaging them for the whole of the UK, the Met Office has found that June was the wettest ever, since records began in 1910. Wales and Northern Ireland had their wettest June ever, England had its second wettest June ever as the gentle and not so gentle rain fell on these islands. Weather is not climate and climate is not weather.
