How many children do we need?

For many years the United Kingdom has taken tax payers’ money and given it to mothers of children, a fixed amount for every child. The money is not related to income in any way; it is dished out because governments think that this is the right thing to do. In France, when the population failed to rise there was an incentive for having more than one, two or three children, so as to encourage children. In Spain there still exists significant benefits if you have three or more children, all financed by the taxpayer. Continue reading
