Focus on carbon cutting as well as cost cutting

According to npower’s survey eight in ten UK businesses think our emission reduction targets are unrealistic and nearly seven out of ten think that they have little advantage in cutting carbon and are more focused on saving financial costs. I suspect that these figures are a little on the optimistic side; almost every business, when faced with a choice between cutting carbon and cutting costs would opt for the latter, although they may pretend that they favour the former.

The reasons are quite simple; a business depends upon its survival for its flows of cash in and its flows of cash out. Continue reading
