Genersys heats a large public pool in Mexico City

On the outskirts of Mexico City a few years ago there was an oil refinery. Mexico City grew, tremendously until its urban area surrounded the refinery, which is not a good thing. The City found another place for the refinery and then turned the land that the oil refinery occupied into an environmental and ecological park, where people could walk, bring their children and use the park’s facilities.

One of the facilities was a large public swimming pool, which was heated by fossil fuel. Now Genersys Mexico has installed 80 solar panels which now provided neatly all of the heat that the pool needs without harming the environment.

One of Genersys Mexico’s team, Saul Breton Luengas explains this large solar system on YouTube. Here is a link to the English language but it is also available in Spanish.
