  1. Whatever this country does or does not it will not make one iota of difference to the amount of atmospheric CO2.

This country is not the source of any climate change.

If there is any ‘human’ caused climate change look to the massively industrialised countries like Germany, USA, China, India, Brazil.

    • This is why BRICS banking system is now out performing the World Bank.

Rothschilds are now major share holders in one of the largest coal mine in Brazil/World, basically burning their way into one of the greatest resorces in the most messy way, they are gonna pass on their mess in the form of carbon credits/through product, the planets people will pay for their mess, via their own labour, which is also taxed again, one must take your hat off to them in many ways.

    • Correct Chris.

Lets go for what we can make ourselves in the most efficient and ethical way.

    • Morally your argument is wrong. For example, if one person is committing a crime crime, does that allow others to do likewise? We can bring the great industrial polluting nations to book by boycotting products they make and which consume or by taxing them. Money talks and they will change.

  2. There are some obvious and less obvious helpful ideas in there Rob, but, if we clean up our act towards the totality of our global contribution towards atmospheric pollution, all and well, then how is it possible for us to accept the products from other manufacturers who don’t give a dam, who will pass on the unfair credits to those recieving said products.

It is a moral crusade, for equality towards our mother of all, which cannot be just tor some and not others, those who take advantage of this model, shame on you all, pay up.

I like the microgeneration idea, however, this would involve everyone doing more for themselves instead of supporting the models of micro dissintegration that has a free run of the whole and cheque book with their immediate enviornments.

It is the microgeneration on the roads that is creating the vehicular soup in air, when better public transportation like trains could be used to transport the greater bulk, using less energy, we are travelling in the wrong direction.

No discounts would be needed if the end products were made at the right prices to begin with, a Zero rated paradigm could create responsible manufacturing, responsibility and ethical savings, together, locally.

Get the people behind their own savings and the fruits of their loombs will out.

  3. Some comments in CAPS:
Think small to slow down climate change; think microgeneration. ANALYSIS OF CURRENT MICROGENERATION SYSTEMS SHOW THEY ARE USELESS IN REDUCING CARBON EMISSIONS COMPARED TO CITY SCALE CHPDH SO THIS IS A RELATIVELY USELESS SUGGESTION
End massive subsidies for wind farms and photovoltaic electricity YOU HAVE OFFERED NO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THIS VEIW, AND THE VIEWS EXPRESSED SO FAR SHOW DEEP IGNORANCE AND MISUNDERSTANDINGS ABOUT HOW ELECTRICITY SYSTEMS WORK
Develop and energy policy, rather than an electricity policy WELL YES TOTALLY AGREE THERE
Use the law to require all homes to be insulated to a decent standard WELL AGREE TO AN EXTENT, BUT THERE IS LITTLE EVIDENCE THAT FOR THE PRESENT HOUSING STOCK ( WHICH IS WHAT MATTERS) THAT THIS WILL SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE TOTAL HEAT DEMAND
Use Council Tax reductions as an incentive for microgeneration WELL AGAIN – THERE IS NO CASE FOR THIS ON A CARBON REDUCTION BASIS
Stop wood burning power stations TOTALLY HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOU THERE
Force fossil fuel power stations to use the best smoke washing and air cleaning technology THIS SHOWS YOUR IGNORANCE – THEY ARE ALREADY FITTED WITH SUCH SYSTEM, OR ARE BEING PHASED OUT UNDER THE LCPD LAW
Force cars buses and lorries to limit their engine sizes and their pollution emissions MIGHT AGREE TO AN EXTENT ON THIS FOR CARS, BUT THEN HOW WILL YOU RUN LORRIES AND BUSES WHICH NEED LARGE ENGINES?
Stop looking for one big solution; climate change was caused by many small events which accumulate WELL THIS IS A VERY VAGUE STATEMENT. DETAILED ANALYSIS BY EG DELUCHI ET AL SHOWS THAT THE SOLUTION IS A COMBINATION WIND, SOLAR AND HYDRO
A bit of humility and less boasting would help the intellectual environment WELL INDEED, AND IT WOULD HELP IF COMMENTATORS ACTUALLY DID SOME RESEARCH BEFORE PONTIFICATING.
BASICALLY THESE RESOLUTIONS LET THE FOSSIL INDUSTRY OFF THE HOOK, SO i AM LEFT THINKING THAT IN SOME WAY YOU ARE BEING INFLUENCED BY THEM

    • You keep demanding evidence yet provide none yourself

    • Chill Dave.

Sollution is, ban all the dirty products/imports globally. Give the goodies to those with the cleanest records, best enviironmental policies, whack in some zero rated backing/investment by government, job done.

      I’m talking the visible pollution.

    • I do not agree with you about CHP being better at saving emissions than other forms of micro-generation. Our own studies at Genersys, based on industry standard simulating software shows that a typical Genersys water heating system with 4 square metres of panels on the roof in the UK saves between half and three quarters of a tonne of carbon dioxide each year for its life time, which we estimate to be 35 years. Why not a simple 20% off council tax for every half a tonne of emissions you save – which in the case of solar water heating can be deemed? It’s not rocket science.
There is plenty of evidence that insulation reduces the need for fossil fuel heating. Speak to anyone who has had it fitted. If you do not insulate the roof you are simply paying to heat up the airspace where you do not live.
I understand exactly how electricity systems work – the great unsolved problem is how to store electrcicty which is mostly generated when it is not needed, by renewables.
Why phase in smoke cleaning – just do it. Do it now.
I am not influenced by the fossil fuel industry – they are my competitors in Genersys, and I have done a lot of research – see The Energy Age” and plenty of articles on this blog. I have to rely on what scientists say and where they conflict i have to use my own judgement to decide my opinion. That surely is normal.
      Robert

  4. Rob,

I fail to see any moral issue.

Why is burning fuel to keep warm a crime?

Unfortunately, so many global warmists/religionists equate producing CO2 to crime, as you seem to.

For example, you do not expect to have to starve just because americans eat too much and some africans have too little. It would make no difference anyway if you did.

If you really believe that China, India, Brazil, USA etc will follow a global minnow’s (UK) example by destroying its economy to pacify green loggyists I think you are mistaken. I suspect they will laugh up their sleeves at our stupidity.

    • Chris

This is exactly what the UN and the evil of axis under Maurice Strong is asking the west to do under the green global carbon banner, these are very, very forked tongued and dangerous people indeed, who will line their homes with gold traded by our own credits and labour for supporting the carbon myth.

Hopefully not for too much longer, the current paradigm may be dumbed down, but not all of us laymen are so stupid.

Nature recycles her carbonicity every year, which collates to around 80% of global caron, we could easily make use of ours and grow ten fold for the needy hungry mouths, which the corporations starve around 50,000 per day, for profits alone.

Giving countries like Africa the right tech would be the responsible thing to do, so they can enjoy the fruits of their own energy and labour.

There is so much that needs to be added to debate, not many actually want to.

  5. Thanks for answering Rob.

Not sure if your findings were toward myself, but I fully agree with the boycotting and corporate global killing model, they deserve to be brought to book in isolation and have no influences in government making decissions, the must be pollitically leprocised.

The iidea to filtering out the true pollutants like ash is one way forward, it can be used in making the insulation for buildings, the Co2 can be used for injecting into greenhouses to grow more food and the excess heat used to heat vast growing houses in situ, all from waste products that could compete with cheaper imports who are wasting more value than they are really worth.

The sheer waste in voltage drop eu-route is truly staggering, this is why they have lowered the output quite considerably.

The sollutions are already there as we know, there is no need for discounts because, we must close the carbon credit back doors before we encourage these theives any further, who will continue to steal more hy encouraging us to pollute more elwewhere.

If and when the duopoly of deceit has been quashed, the quango’s will follow suit and a truly free and open market will enable everyone some of the benefits in energy saved.

The prises must go to those who truly deserve it, not to those ramming false ideologies down everyones throats behind lies, at the cost of the majority.

Like I have already mentioned, self regulation via a private funded model where zero percent is laid out for renewables, with a fixed or parking fee as a return on those vested savings of each micro producer for the propagator there after, basically as long as the sun shines, one would be quids in.

Somebody will do it sooner or later.
