Sometimes I am dull in the company of people. I smile to myself when they talk and do not understand when they do not listen to me. Me, why should I care for them and their conversation? But please excuse my rudeness. It is not the company of people but the measure that I use. You see, I have debated with Plato, spoken to Shakespeare so many times, understood Tolstoy and listened to the sweet verses of so many, each line a maze of meaning, each book a discovery of thought. I have heard the tunes of words and loved the words of music. And I have not understood so much which I knew before. I have been shown new universes. So sometimes I am dull in the company of people. Forgive me.
