It is a cold, slightly below freezing day in London and despite the hard economic times people are still wasting money. I took this picture on the way to work and it shows three west facing houses in Welbeck Street. The house in the middle has plenty of snow on its roof, but its neighbours have much less snow.
That is because the middle house has a well insulated roof, unlike its neighbours, where the occupants are paying to warm the roof. It takes a great deal of energy to warm a roof and doing that is both a waste of money and a waste of a great deal of energy. When you waste energy you are not only contributing to global warming but also wasting money.
