Politicians everywhere are concerned about “security” which usually means their own safety. Very few politicians can be seen on the streets of London but Londoners are frequently inconvenienced as politicians (usually from the existing government) cocooned in their limousines and protected by police motorbike out riders, bring traffic to a stop so that they may go about their business unhampered by the events that affect their masters, the public.
